The American Cornhole Organization requires that the bag be released underhand. The Red Team has one bag in the hole and two bags on the board. The Blue Team has three bags on the board. The board should be on level ground, about 27 feet apart from one another. The goal holes should be placed away from the opposite board. Players can play in teams of two or four. A two-person team will have a player at each goal board, while a single-player team will throw from the same board.
