Cornhole is a backyard game that brings back memories of summer BBQs. It’s a fun way to bring together friends, family, and neighbors. This cornhole ornament is a great gift for any fan of this classic lawn game!
How to play the game:
Find a large, level, open area with plenty of room for tossing and scoring. Pair up in two teams and place each team’s cornhole boards 27 feet away from each other, with the front edges of the boards facing each other.
Start playing the game by tossing one Cornhole bag toward the opposite board on each side. Alternate tossing until all eight Cornhole bags have been tossed and all players have had their turn at tossing.
Throwing techniques:
There are three main throwing styles in cornhole — slide, block and push. Each style has different rules and strategies.
Incorporating these different shot types into your strategy can help you win more games and make the game more exciting.
Build your own goal board:
You can purchase a cornhole goal board at many general retailers or sporting goods stores. Alternatively, you can make your own by using a 2 by 4 foot (0.6 by 1.22 m) piece of plywood or other material and cutting an angle into the face of each side of the board. Attach handles for easy transport, and you’ll have a board you’ll love.
