Choosing the Right Cornhole Board Size and Cornhole Hole Size

The playing surface of a cornhole board is another important factor to consider when selecting a board. Most boards are 48 by 24 inches, but you can choose a slightly smaller board if you prefer. Although there are no specific standards for board size, 48 by 24 is generally the standard and easier to find. Regardless of board size, you should choose one that has a playing surface that is at least 3/4″ thick. The holes in the board should be six inches in diameter, with each hole centered about 9″ from the top and one inch from each side edge.

In addition to the diameter of the playing surface, you should also consider the angle between the board and the ground. The angle between the board and the platform should be about 109 degrees. If you are unsure of what distance you should use, you can try counting steps from the ground to the edge of each board. However, it may be easier to measure from a distance of three or four steps. Listed below are some rules for choosing a board that is ideal for cornhole playing.

Once you’ve determined the board’s measurements, it’s time to decide on the size of the cornhole hole. While this isn’t critical, it is important to have a board that will accommodate the holes. Otherwise, the board will be too large and you won’t be able to play the game with your friends. It is also important to make sure that the hole is the right size so you can play fair.
